Fabulous news!!   Our Women's Grade 4 pennants' team has progressed to the State Playoffs following a great win over their Manly Warringah opponents, Mona Vale.  Playing in lovely weather at Harbord on very slick, wide greens on Wednesday, our girls outplayed their opposition to win both rinks by 7 and 17 shots respectively - a great 24 shot win on the main board.

The initial four (Jenny Bradley, Anita Hain subbing for Jan Kelett, Di Aston & skip Judy Lonsdale) despite a slow start came back strongly to grind out a very impressive 19-12 shot win.   The second foursome of Sue Byrne, Pat Black, Judy Douglas & Lena Pittman (skip) bowled magnificently and with all on song completely dominated their opponents in taking out their match 25-8.      Overall it was a great team effort to come from an early deficit to win and now move on to the State Playoffs.

And so, the recent tradition of the Women's Grade 4 pennant team continuues!    The 4s have won the District pennant for the last 3 years and gone on to represent the club and District two out of 3 years at State.   Details of when and where the State games will be held will be advised as soon as is known.

Well done ladies  ....   time to open the champagne!    The Club is very proud of you.
